What LPN employers look for on a resume
LPN jobs are in nursing homes, clinics, hospitals, rehab centers, and home health. Hiring managers scan for three things first:
- Your credentials, near the top. LPN license, LVN license, Passed the NCLEX-PN. List each one you hold, and training you are finishing with the expected date.
- Work that shows the job. Lines like "Gave medications and recorded them in the MAR" or "Took vital signs and watched for changes". Past jobs in other fields count when you show the same habits: reliability, care, safety, and teamwork.
- The skills they search for. Medication administration, Wound care, Patient assessment, Charting and EHR, Care plans. The builder lets you tap the ones you have.
When you get the call, practice the LPN interview questions. Still need training? WIOA can pay for it: see WIOA funding for LPN training.
