What a myInterview interview is

myInterview is a one-way video interview tool. You get a link, answer a few questions on camera, and the employer watches later. In 2025 the company Radancy bought myInterview, so the pages and emails you see may say Radancy.

Most myInterview interviews are short. The help center says the average one takes about 15 minutes, with 5 to 10 questions and 1 to 3 minutes per answer. You can practice first, and the practice videos are not sent.

Radancy bought myInterview in September 2025, so your invite, help pages, and confirmation email may say Radancy.

Questionsset by the employer, never more than 10. Most use 5 to 10.
Time to thinkdepends on the question. On a "closed" question you get 30 seconds, then recording starts. On an "open" question you start when ready.

Retakesset by the employer. Some allow up to 5 on a question, and some allow none.

Devicea browser on a computer or phone. Chrome or Firefox is recommended. No app.
Deadlineset by the employer. If your link says it expired, contact the employer.
Who reviews itthe employer watches your videos. It can also use AI that transcribes your answers and adds them to a screening score.

The employer sets these numbers. Your invite or the first screen tells you yours.

Who uses it: Retail, theme parks, nonprofits, and large companies. Six Flags, 7-Eleven, River Island, Goodwill, and Roche were named as clients when Radancy bought it.

What happens, step by step

  1. Open the link from the employer in Chrome or Firefox.
  2. Allow your camera and microphone when asked.
  3. Choose Let Me Practice First and record a few practice answers. They stay with you.
  4. Start the interview. You see the total number of questions and about how long it will take.
  5. Read each question. On a closed question, recording starts after 30 seconds. On an open question, you start when you are ready.
  6. Watch your answer. If you see a retake button, you can record again, then click the circle under the take you want to send.
  7. Press Next to move on. You cannot go back, so check each answer first. Press Finish at the end and wait for the success message.

Typical myInterview interview questions

Each employer writes its own questions, and there is no public list of myInterview questions. These are common screening questions that fit the myInterview format, with what each one tests.

  1. Tell us about yourself. (A short, clear intro)
  2. Why do you want to work here? (Interest in the company)
  3. Why are you a good fit for this role? (Match to the job)
  4. Tell us about a time you gave great customer service. (People skills)
  5. Tell us about a time you worked as part of a team. (Teamwork)
  6. How would you handle a difficult customer? (Judgment under pressure)

Answer each one with a real example: what was going on, what you did, and how it ended. The STAR method guide shows the shape.

Tips for the myInterview interview

Specific to myInterview:

  • Use Let Me Practice First. It is the practice built into your real interview link, and nothing you record there goes to the employer.
  • MyInterviewPractice.com is a separate company with a similar name. It is not part of myInterview or Radancy.
  • Watch for closed questions. The 30 second countdown starts as soon as the question shows, so read fast and plan your first sentence.
  • Pick your take with care. If you have retakes, click the circle under the video you want to send before you press Next.

For any recorded interview:

  • Put the camera at eye level and the light in front of you, not behind.
  • Use the think time to pick your example, not to write a script.
  • Aim for 60 to 90 seconds per answer. End on how it turned out.
  • Do it early in the window. If something breaks, you still have time to ask for a new link.

myInterview vs HireVue

myInterview screens are usually short, about 15 minutes on average with no more than 10 questions. Closed questions give a 30 second countdown, which is close to HireVue, and open questions let you start when ready. When you have retakes, you choose which take to send.

Frequently asked questions

What questions are asked in a myInterview interview?

The employer picks the questions, so they change by job. Many are common screening questions, like why you want the job or a time you helped a customer or a team. You get no more than 10, and you see them one at a time.

Can you retake a myInterview interview?

You can retake a question only if the employer turned retakes on. Some allow up to 5. If you see no retake button after recording, you have none left. You cannot go back to a question after you press Next.

Does myInterview use AI?

It can. myInterview built AI that ranks candidates by traits based on what they say. Radancy now says its AI transcribes video answers and adds them to a screening score. Hiring teams can also watch your videos.

How long is a myInterview interview?

About 15 minutes on average. Most have 5 to 10 questions with 1 to 3 minutes per answer. You see the total time once you start.

What is the best way to practice for a myInterview interview?

Answer questions out loud on a timer, on camera, and listen back. Fix one thing and go again. The free tool at the top of this page asks a question with time to think and an answer clock, and scores your spoken answer. No account needed for the first round.
