What to look for in an auto-apply tool for hourly jobs
- Jobs near you. Hourly work is local. The tool should search by ZIP and distance, not just job title.
- A resume for each job, built from what is true. A tool that adds skills or numbers you do not have can cost you the job at the interview or the background check.
- You see each application before it goes. Screening questions decide hourly hiring: shifts, start date, license, whether you can lift 50 pounds. One wrong answer can take you out.
- A clear price. Many tools sell a weekly or monthly plan that renews until you cancel. Check how to cancel before you pay.
- A record of what you sent. If you are on unemployment, you need a work search log. A tool that keeps one saves you writing it by hand.

Capstone Careers: auto apply built for hourly jobs
Capstone Careers was built for the hourly jobs most auto-apply tools do not mention: CNA, phlebotomy, pharmacy tech, warehouse, forklift, CDL driving, trades and retail.
- You pick the job and type your ZIP. Each morning it finds openings within 10, 25 or 50 miles, from Adzuna, a licensed job feed, and hundreds of employers' own job boards.
- It rewrites your resume for each posting using only what is on it, and writes a cover letter from the same facts.
- It fills in the application. On most sites you check it and send it. On a paid plan you can turn on sending for you, up to 100 a week, on sites that allow it.
- It never logs into your LinkedIn or Indeed account, and never fills in your date of birth, Social Security number or driver's license number.
- Every application you send gets a proof page with the employer, job, date and how you applied, which works as your unemployment work search log.
Price: free for 1 application a month, plus the resume and cover letter for 1 job. More is $9.99 for a 7-day pass, one payment that does not renew, or $34.99 a month for unlimited applications. See jobs near you.
Before you pay for any auto-apply tool
- Read recent reviews for wrong answers on forms and for trouble canceling.
- Find the cancel and refund rules before you check out.
- Try it on one application first and read what it filled in.
- Keep applying in person and calling employers too. Many hourly employers still hire fastest that way.
