How UPS hires for hourly jobs
- Fill out an application and watch a short video to see what the job is like.
- You could get a job offer and pick your first day in under 10 minutes. UPS says this happens for some jobs.
- Before day one, submit proof of identity and work eligibility online (bring original I-9 documents; copies not accepted).
- Show up on day one to finish final onboarding steps.

| Interview | UPS says its hourly application process does not have an interview step. If an interview is required, UPS contacts you by phone, email or text. |
| Assessment | None stated for warehouse or helper roles. A short job preview video is part of the application. UPS lists a skills assessment only for select technical professional roles. |
| How long it takes | UPS says that for some jobs you could get an offer and pick your first day in under 10 minutes. Driver Helpers are seasonal and usually hired only in October, November and December. |
| Pay | Pay varies by position and location; each posting shows the hourly wage. Examples: a Seasonal Warehouse Worker / Package Handler posting in Edgerton, KS (posted October 14, 2026) paid $21.00 an hour. A Driver Helper posting in Colorado Springs, CO (posted October 14, 2026) paid $18.40 an hour. |
| Requirements | Both roles: lift up to 70 lbs, authorized to work in the U.S. Driver Helper: no driver's license required. |

Questions to practice for a UPS job
UPS does not list interview questions on its hourly jobs site. If UPS asks you to interview, practice these common questions out loud:
- Tell me about yourself and why you want to work here.
- Tell me about a time you helped a customer who was upset. What did you do?
- How do you keep up on a busy shift with a lot to do?
- What would you do if you saw a coworker skip a safety rule?
- Tell me about a time you worked as part of a team to get something done.
- What hours and days can you work?
Answer each with a short, true example: what happened, what you did, and how it turned out.
