Where the no-experience jobs are
Many warehouse, retail, food service, customer service, caregiving and delivery jobs do not ask for experience, and some train you on the job. Check each posting. Short training like a CNA, phlebotomy or forklift certificate opens more, and WIOA can pay for it if you qualify: see the WIOA Navigator.
Two examples from employers' own sites: Amazon says many of its full-time core operations jobs need no prior experience, and CVS says its pharmacy technician training program needs no previous experience.
What to put on your resume
- Training and certificates, with the month you finished or will finish.
- Any work, paid or not: babysitting, helping a family business, volunteering, school jobs.
- Skills you have used: cash handling, lifting, cleaning, scheduling, a second language.
Start from a sample for your job: warehouse, retail, customer service, cook, caregiver.
You are competing with experienced people too
In May 2026, 30% of applications to entry-level postings on Indeed came from people with 10 or more years of experience (Indeed Hiring Lab). A resume written for the posting can help you show you fit the job.
Apply with a resume written for each job
Capstone Careers finds openings near you every morning, writes your resume for each job from what you have really done, and fills in the application. It writes from what you have really done, so nothing is made up. See how Capstone Careers works, or see openings near you.
