Write your resume summary free
A resume summary is the two or three lines at the top of your resume. It says the job you want, what you have done that fits it, and one thing that makes you reliable. A hiring manager reads it first.
- Type the job you want, the way job postings name it.
- Type what you have done: your jobs, training, certifications and skills. A few words for each is enough.
- Paste a job posting if you have one, so the summary uses its words where your facts fit.
- Pick the summary that sounds most like you, fill any [bracket], and copy it to the top of your resume.

No account. It uses only what you type here, so nothing is made up. Where a number would help, it leaves a [bracket] for you to fill.
What a good summary has
- The job title you want, near the start.
- What you have really done that fits it, in the words the posting uses.
- A number where you have one: how many patients, orders, calls or years.
- No first person ("I") and no phrases like "hard-working team player". Show it with a fact instead.
