The weekly work search rule in Delaware
At least 1 new work search contact each week. Going back to an employer you already contacted is fine, but you must also make a new contact every week.
When you request your weekly benefits on WebBenefits or TeleBenefits, give the employer's name, address, type of work sought, result of the contact and the date. Also fill in the Work Search Log each week; the Division reviews it and may ask you to submit it.
File and certify on the Delaware Department of Labor site. The rules can change, so check DOL's work search page if a letter from them says something different.

Delaware Department of Labor lists these:
- Applying for a job you are reasonably qualified for

Who does not have to search for work in Delaware
You do not have to provide a weekly work search if you have a confirmed recall date from your employer, are an active union hall member seeking work through the hiring hall (verified by the Division), or are attached to a job through a pattern of seasonal layoff and rehire by the same employer over the last 3 years.
Keep your work search log free
Write down each activity the day you do it: the date, the employer, how you contacted them, the job, and what happened. If the state asks to see your search, the log is your proof.
The free work search log in Capstone Careers keeps it for you: each application you send through Capstone Careers goes on it by itself, you add the ones you do elsewhere, and you can save the week as a PDF.
